Meeker Memorial Foundation was delighted to accept a generous gift of $1,000 from the Ladies Auxiliary to Fraternal Order of Eagles #3424 for the 3D Mammography Campaign Fund.
These funds were raised as part of the Ladies Auxiliary Annual Bike/Motorcycle Ride held in late August of 2017. More than 20 riders participated in this, the 7th Annual Bike Motorcycle Ride held by the group.
Thank you to the Ladies Auxiliary to Fraternal Order of Eagles #3424, the ride’s organizing committee and all the participants for helping us bring the latest screening technology for the mothers, daughters, sisters and wives of Meeker County.
About the 3D Mammography Campaign
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women, second only to lung cancer, according to the American Cancer Society. We know that early detection increases a woman’s chance of survival and bringing the latest in screening technology to our patients is a priority for us at Meeker Memorial Hospital.
Offering 3D mammograms at Meeker Memorial is what our patients expect and that is why the Foundation is raising $125,000 (of the $500,000 needed) to help with the purchase of this latest technology.
Through the generous support of an anonymous donor, your gift – no matter the size – in support of the 3D Mammography Campaign will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $7,500!
