• Litchfield Area ACT Team will be hosting the Forget Me Not Café

    A new Memory Café will be hosted at the Litchfield Public Library (216 N. Marshal Ave.) this Sat., Dec. 2nd from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

    The Forget Me Not Café is a social gathering where people with memory loss and their care companions can come together in a save, supportive environment.  The Litchfield Area Forget Me Not Cafe will be held on the first Sat. monthly.

    The activities planned will be centered around Holiday music, name that tune  led by ACT on Alzheimer’s Team support facilitators.  Open to the community it should be a fun gathering including some holiday refreshments.

    Dealing with Alzheimer’s isn’t easy, but getting involved with ACT on Alzheimer’s activities can help ease the burden. The efforts work to support ACT on Alzheimer’s initiatives and create dementia friendly communities are happening.

    Schedule a Dementia Friends at Work or Dementia Friends information session for your group, designed for community members or organizations to become more dementia friendly. Dementia Friend Information Sessions are a one-hour information session filled with activities and discussion covering the five key messages everyone should know about dementia. This information session is designed to educate community members to be more dementia friendly.

    Litchfield Area Dementia Friends Information Session Dates:

    Tues., Jan. 16 – 4 p.m. (Wagner Education Bld.– Room 12)

    Tues., Feb. 20 – 4 p.m. (Litchfield Library)
