Amy Toenjes, MPT
Scope of Practice
Physical therapists help people of all ages improve how they move. They address pain, range of motion, strength, joint mobility, posture, balance and movement impairments that are affecting an individual’s ability to function normally in home life, work life and recreation/athletics.
Amy treats a wide variety of patients and diagnoses from newborns with rehabilitation needs to older adults with poor balance.
Specialties/Areas of Interest
Specializes in manual therapy including a wide variety of techniques to help people with injuries or past injury scarring. Amy also treats our pediatric patients with developmental delays and physical disabilities.
“I treat each person with my full attention, and I truly enjoy getting to develop relationships with my patients. I believe a combination of modalities, manual therapy, and a personal connection are often a good springboard toward full recovery. Once pain is under control, I find that self-management strategies of education, exercise and postural training are keys to success in keeping patients from coming back again and again.”
