Pediatric Rehab

Occupational and physical therapists at Meeker Memorial Hospital work with children on their optimal level of functioning at home, school, play and within the community. Therapists work together as a team to facilitate improvements in:

  • Self-care (dressing, feeding, grooming and bathing)
  • Small motor skills (writing, using scissors and drawing)
  • Gross motor skills (hitting a target, batting a ball, copying from a blackboard, etc.)
  • Visual motor and visual perceptual skills (using eye movement to explore and interact with the environment, special relations)
  • Cognitive skills (keeping to a schedule/routines, learning to play a new game, following two-step directions, social skills)
