The project was delivered by 4-H members L to R: Jacob Huhn, Cora Huhn, Lexi Orbeck and Mackenzie Kadelbach. Project coordinator was Joyce Kiehn. To receive the project from MMH was Marc Vaillancourt, Meeker Memorial Foundation Executive Director, Lisa Dahl, Specialty Clinics/Surgery Nurse Manager and Cheryl Goehring from Chemotherapy/Infusion Services.

Fleece blankets and “Cancer Care Bags” were assembled by the group. The funding was made possible by the generous donations from Meeker Cooperative Electric Trust, Meeker County 4-H Federation and the Litchfield Satellites 4-H Club. Included in each bag there were lemon drops, hand sanitizer, soft socks, a suduko magazine, design colorbooks, crayons, water, gum and a “Keep Fighting” card. The students came with the message: “We hope you can find a special person for each bag and we hope to make someone’s day just a little brighter.”
